Disrespectful Cashier at Checkers N1 City

On Saturday, 12 June 2021, my mother, son and I picked up a few things at Checkers N1 City, and were terribly unlucky to encounter the rudest cashier. I would like to know, is it the customer's duty to pack their goods or the cashier (if they do not have a packer assisting)? After scanning our groceries, the cashier did not pack them in the grocery bag my mother had left on the counter. My mother was busy getting cash out of her purse to pay for the groceries, and when she asked the cashier, if she was not going to pack the groceries, she very rudely answered my mother. My mother ended up packing the groceries, and was terribly upset. We complained to the supervisor on duty, who shouted to another employee that she wanted to see the cashier in her office, but I have no idea if this actually happened. It is so disappointing that during these times, customer service at Checkers is so bad. Maybe not everyone is like this cashier, but because of her horrible behavior, it has a bad reflection on Checkers. My 12 year old son was with and for him to see such rude behavior is totally unacceptable. Also, the disrespect towards my 61 year old mother is not on. At the bottom of the cash slip it says "You were helped by Nicole Arendse" - but help should not be included in that sentence.
