Disrespected by a cashier

I was asked to reveal my drivers license to validate if I am above the legal age to acquire alcohol. At that point both my hands are on the counter, removing cash from my wallet to make payments, my wedding ring was right in front him too. This happened right in front of my wife and other customers. I felt violated and disrespected by the guy manning one of the pay tills. At that point I wanted to push back rudely but out of respect and professionalism for other customers I held back. The guy in question is going to cost that outlet valued customers like myself. This is a warning shot to management of the Checkers liquor (situated opposite The Glen Mall, opposite VW dealership).
