Disgusting Service
<p>I was very appalled by Ziyanda's behaviour from Checkers Bayside this morning. Firstly, I get to the till where she is slouching by the till. Then, I present the padlock which I was purchasing which was the purpose of my visit. It seemed that there was something on the bar code of the padlock that made it difficult for her to scan. Ziyanda then told me to go fetch another padlock so that she could scan it. I asked her to ask one of the other Checkers staff which were standing around at the shop. She called the supervisor and in a short space the supervisor removed the object that was covering the bar code and then Ziyanda was able to scan the bar code. In a jokey manner I say to her "So I would have walked all the way to the opposite end of the shop for something that can scan." She answered me back with a cheeky tone and disgusted look and said to me "why am I bothered because I did not end up walking there." I asked her not to talk back at me. She continued being rude and shouting at me. I told her I am the customer and she should keep quiet and not fight with a customer. She responded and said I must just do what I need to do. I did not end up fetching the padlock so why don’t I just keep quiet. Our volumes starting increasing and it was a back and forth argument between me the customer and Ziyanda the checkers employee. One of the supervisors heard the argument and came closer to us and asked Ziyanda to keep quiet. She would keep quiet and went on and on about how I did not have to end up fetching the padlock myself because I did not want to. At this point she was already assisting another customer but engaging in an argument with me at the same time. Where is her pride in her job? Does Checkers Bayside not teach its staff how to treat customers? So, it seems that Ziyanda does not care at all about the Brand reputation. As an employee you take pride in your brand. Does Checkers not have any values perhaps? I am disgusted by this behaviour and need you guys to invest in your customer service training. Sies man!!!</p>
