Disappointed
Over a week ago I bought Melrose Cheese slices 400g from Checkers Preller in Bloemfontein, only to find out today that the cheese has expired over 5 months ago - 07/07/2019!!! I’m utterly disappointed. The health risk that this store has put me and my kids in. To think that we’ve been eating it... This is unacceptable!!!

11 Dec 2019, 10:52I have not being able to go to the store and formally launch my grievances, so I decided call the store and request to speak to the Manager so I can make her aware of my situation. All she said was OK, I tried emphasizing that we eat this expired cheese and she still just said OK. She didn’t bother to apologise or show any kind of remorse even though the store has put my entire family in health risk. I was the one who had to suggest that maybe it will be best if I come to the store, she still surprisingly said O**** This is the treatment we get from Checkers Preller!!! Disappointed is an understatement!!!

14 Dec 2019, 12:47I am happy to announce that Johan (Branch Manager) a very professional gentle humbly apologised on behalf of Checkers and Lyzette from Parmalat also called to give her sincere apology on behalf of Parmalat. A goodie hamper was delivered to my doorstep by the Branch Manager to cement their heartfelt apology. So thank you very much Johan and Lyzette!!
