Damaged goods put back on the shelf and no help for disabled people.
I bought my wife an Electric Frying pan in December 2017 at the Checkers in Green Acres Port Elizabeth. When we used it the first time we found it to be faulty. The next day we took it back for a refund which they were happy to give to us. I then added some money and bought a Electric Wok for my wife. Upon opening it at home we found that the lid showed signs of use because it had fatty residue on it. The next day we took that back for a refund which after some deliberation was given to us. We went back to the shelf to look for another one to find that the Faulty Electric Frying pan was put back on the shelf to be sold again. After pointing this out to the staff and asking to see the manager, the lady helping out became somewhat aggressive and pointed out the the manager never sees any clients. We eventually got them to remove the item from the shelf. The way they treated us was pathetic and down grading and that in front of other customers. My wife feels very hurt and said she would never shop there again. I think the staff must go on a course to hone their people s****s. we did a lot of shopping at your stores but not anymore. The result is that still do not have a Electric Frying pan or Wok because those were the ones my wife wanted. On another note that same Checkers would not help me to access your Less than 10 items Tills. I am in a wheelchair and the access was blocked by an Ola fridge. When complaining about this we were again informed that the manager just do not care as there were several complaints on this matter. He or She apparently just sits in the office and let staff deal with complaints. i just feel that top management should know about these things as your stores are usually tops. its just that this one is dragging your reputation through the mud.
