Customer complaint

I was at Checkers Fourways mall today (13th February 2020) when I came accross a gift set that was displayed as one enteres the store. With great amu*****t I took it hoping to pay the price that was advertised. As I got to the till, Nomvula (the cashier) asked her colleagues whether that was a correct price. She then called Mpho, who denied me getting the item at the price is saw. Mpho further uttered the word; "Logically thinking, you can see that these items are not worth this price". I then told Mpho that I do not think logically as a customer that knows CPA, all I want is to buy an item with the price I see. She then called a manager, of which Nancy (Front line manager) came. Nancy refused to allow me to buy the item with the price that I saw. Is that the customer service that is condoned by such a big retail company like Checkers? I feel very violated as a loyal customer that has been shopping from Checkers for the longest time.
