******** record for an honest mistake, shopping at checkers new market Alberton

11.03.18 I went to checkers hyper new market Alberton,went with my two kids and wife for a bit of grocery ,we entered the shop and got a snack of fried fish and chips as shopping acknowledging will pay in front with everything,we finished the snack put the empties in our trolley but sadly when we got to the till we took out small things inside of our trolley to leave behind and mistakenly took out the empties for fish and chips

We paid but as leaving then they called my wife as she was the one paying saying she didn't pay for the fish and chips and my wife apologized immediately and went back inside to pay went by the till but was told not to pay and was taken at the backroom

They then interrogated her and told that she did it intetionally which was not the case as I was there with her and the kids, the manager did not even bother to come talk to her,they locked my wife in their backroom the whole day until was about to close, abused emotionally bul**** called names by the securities and staff, while kids outside hungry

Mind you the fish and chips was R23 which we bought things for R1050 eventually around closing time they called the police on her and took her in, right now she has a ******** record for something that was an honest mistake, even the police were surprised how cruel can checkers be on their loyal paying customers All this headache was going to be easily solved unlike treating their customer with no respect no fairness.
