Constantia Emporium, service with a...smile???

We attempted to purchase wine yesterday before 6 pm, got to the till at 6:13 pm only to be told we can't PAY for wine after 6 pm. No signage. No shop assistants telling us we cant purchase after 6 pm- just being turned back at the till. If someone gets to the shop before your doors close, you need to tell them that they cannot purchase after a certain time. How do you leave the doors of the liquor section open until the last second, allow people to take things and then deny them at the till? The level of logic the management employs here is very questionable. Needless to say, a waste of time, petrol and effort and after one too many bad shopping experiences with Checkers, I will not be back. Even your APP is a load of ********.
