Completely disappointed

I called checkers malvern at 10am sunday to order a cake for my childs 4th birthday. I got told there is no extension and that I must leave my name and number and they will call me back immediately. No call back and every attempt thereafter the phone just rang. Even from 9am Monday no answer. At 14:30 I tried again and they answered. Now all of a sudden they have an extension to the bakery manager. He apologised profusely and it's not his fault but now my kid will have no cake for school tomorrow . I particularly wanted to order through them as I work far away and its convenient that checkers closes late. I would make it in time to collect. I'm very sadly disappointed as I use 60/60 all the time with no hassles. Clearly the store needs a new switchboard receptionist that cares to give messages. My son is the one that will now suffer for her stuff up. My heart is sore for him now. Hes just a child excited for his birthday, now no cake or blowing out a candle at daycare. I really am disappointed.
