Closing of The Atrium Entrance to shopping mall on Ridge Road

<p>I have noticed that the security guard has started to close the entrance on the Ridge Road, that is the one below the John Dory's Restaurant. This leaves the entrances in Juniper Road and the one leading to Spur's as the only two entrances that are open to the public to come to Checkers as the only store for groceries that opens until 20h00. However, many people who are not aware of the other entrances turn away from the shopping centre and leave when they find that the main entrance on Ridge Road is closed. The customers usually expect all entrances to be open that allow access to Checkers for their groceries when they come to the The Atrium after seven in the evening.</p> <p> </p> <p>Since the closing of the entrance on the Ridge is random, it seems, I'm sure customers turning away after 19h00 will continue to increase if they happen to be the tourist variety that does not often shop at Checkers in Overport's Atrium shopping centre. I would pose a challenge, out of curiosity, to Checkers to observe their sales revenue patterns from 19h00 to 20h00 before the entrance closure on Ridge Road (below John Dory's) and sales revenue for the same time period (19h00 - 20h00) after the entrance closure. If the change is insignificant to them financially then I guess this small message of mine will be ignored and we all have to accept the closure as just par of the course.</p>
