Clint Jackson- An Asset & Gentleman

<p>As a principal I have delt with many people across a number of countries in Africa and abroad, and I have to say that Clint Jackson in Botswana is one of the best individuals I've ever come across and someone I'm honored to know.</p> <p>He has over 25 years of retail experience and is never afraid to share his knowledge or wisdom among his work colleagues, new trainee's or colleagues in other countries. He is known for being "tough but fair" and is very well respected by staff, distributors and principals, who speak very highly of him, including me.</p> <p>He successfully ran the country for a year and half as the GM on a temporary basis while still for-filling his duty as the chief buyer and director for Retail holdings Botswana, yet he has still makes time to support local charities like the yearly toy-ride and school for the blind. And if you think he takes any credit you would be wrong, he never steps into the limelight instead he allows his colleagues do do so instead - What a Gentleman!</p> <p>His wife Anne is also a wonderful person, she has taken the time to get to know the staff in the office and the stores and knows most of them by name. The Jacksons ( expats 7 years) are affectionately known as a mother and father in the company and the only expats I know who have attended a cultural funeral, showing their respect when one of the regional managers "Moment" passed away earlier this year due to cancer, someone I believe Anne was very close to.</p> <p>Well done Checkers / Shoprite for having someone with an impeccable reputation, someone very well respected and an asset to any company.</p>
