Checkers - Xtra Xtra ***********
I went to checkers Newcastle Amajuba mall on Friday for the Russell Hobbs microwave that was advertised R999.00. I waited about 30min for someone to check if there is stock, which they didn't have, I then asked for a rain check, and he said there is no rain check on the 3 day promo - which is complete bull****, rain checks are for when items aren't in stock and there was no T&C advertising that there will be no rain checks, I then asked that they sell me the display item and was told that they. can't sell a display item. The manager at checkers amajuba called the Newcastle Mall branch who told us that have stock. After leaving our trolley filled with things on promo we went to the mall because they were closing in 40min. The mall branch did not have stock, after waiting again for about 30min, they told us they don't stock Russell Hobbs products!!! On which planet does this even make any sense? After being called and assuring that they have it to be then told that they don't? I went again on Sunday checkers and the display unit is not on the shelf and the promo items wer suppose to take in the first place is sold out? What on earth is going on at checkers? Are the managers and staff simply ***********? What's the point of having such a huge sale when no one knows what's going on? And I didn't go late, I went the same day the Xtra Xtra savings promo started, surly it would have occurred to them to have enough stock of everything? And then the run around, I work very hard for my money and checkers isn't filling fuel in my car for me to keep running around like the *********** staff at checkers! I am absolutely disgusted at this pathetic service, don't have huge specials and savings, rather use the money to properly train the uneducated staff! Please look deeply into this matter as I am not done!!! I want the items I went for at the price it was advised and to be compensated for running around from store to store like a headless chicken!! Or else I will be taking this forward including consumer watch, Wendy Knowla and Devi from the Devi Show - so they can investigate the disgusting service and false advertising.
