Checkers win a car Competition, Entries not not successful

On the 21st of December 2017 i bought R847.87 worth of groceries which translates to 16 entries for the win a car competition, I used the SMS system with the unique code to enter those 16 entries, the next day i checked my entries and it was still pending and the following day etc.

Today i phoned checkers customer care and i spoke to a consultant who said they would send it through to the relevant department but she is not sure if they are working or not. and that she cannot promise anything about rectifying this issue.

So would this be fair practice or not? the competition ends today the 24th and my entries are still pending
