Checkers sucks

I don't want to sound petty, but this is really not cool. I went to Checkers in Emmerentia and spent over R900 and when I got to the till, I was told that they ran out of stock of the Little garden promo items. I was really disappointed because that was the only reason I did my shopping at Checkers. I normally go to Pick and Pay - where I get points, and that helps when I really need it. I contacted Checkers on FB and told them about it, and this was their response:

Hi Ronelle, thank you for getting in touch. We're so sorry for the disappointment! The popularity of our Checkers Little Garden campaign has totally blown us away. Our seedling kits are available while stocks last. As we are now nearing the end of the promotion, some stores have run out of stock. Thank you for your support in making the campaign a success!

I feel like this is a slap in the face, and a blow off. We have the choice to shop wherever we want, and incentives ensure that we choose one over the other. Checkers lures customers with the incentive, and then does not have the means to provide it? That's not good behavior, and needless to say, I will not be shopping at Checkers again. I lost out on R900 + worth of Pick and Pay points because I thought it would be worth it. Not cool Checkers.
