Checkers Sixty60

BEWARE of CHECKERS SIXTY60. This has happened to me THREE TIMES NOW!! When ordering online the amount is authorised on your card. They then usually don’t have all the items in stock. You are then re-charged the new amount. However, the initial amount authorised by Checkers is not released and is held on your credit card for weeks on end. Absa says Checkers needs to send a release letter. Checkers wants a copy of your bank statement and so it goes on all the while the additional funds are being held on your credit card. Checkers is at fault here NOT RELEASING the first amount charged!! You are thus in effect billed twice for your groceries. I’ll NEVER USE CHECKERS SIXTY60 AGAIN!!!
