Checkers sixty60 ****
I ordered two double Electric Blankets on the checkers sixty60 app. The product was out of stock. They opted to deliver two single blankets instead. I got to the store for a refund they refused to refund me the full amount of that transaction. They said they will not be refunding the delivery fee. They will credit the fee back to the app the next delivery will be "free".
I spoke to a lady whilst in store to express my dissatisfaction with this refund policy. She had the audacity to suggest that they are actually doing me a favour by crediting the funds back and offering a free delivery on the next purchase.
My problem with this is the fact that this credit expires in 7 days, meaning you are indirectly forced to make a purchase within the next 7 days failure to do so results in you forfeiting the credit. In my case they purposefully delivered an alternative which was not a suitable replacement, so they can make money from the delivery fee. A single blanket can never be an alternative for a double blanket. They want to deliver something, anything at all costs in order to make money from the delivery fee. I am being charged a fee for their incompetence. If I don't want to lose the money, I am forced to spend more money on their app and make another purchase. They have great money-making scheme going. Though this transaction fell through due to shortcomings on their side they still benefit from it. Cherckers is not entitled to a delivery fees as they have failed to deliver the goods I ordered. Their policy and conduct contravenes various sections of the CPA.
