Checkers Selling stale hot dog rolls

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent purchase at Checkers Davenport.

On Sunday, 24 May 2026, I visited the store to purchase hot dog rolls for a family braai. To ensure quality, I specifically asked the staff member assisting me if the rolls were baked fresh that day, and she assured me that they were. Unfortunately, while preparing the food at home, we discovered that the rolls were completely stale. This was highly disappointing and disrupted our family event, as I ultimately had to drive to Glenwood Spar to purchase acceptable replacements. It is incredibly frustrating to be given incorrect information by staff and to receive sub-standard bakery products from Checkers. I trust that store management will look into this matter to ensure better quality control and staff accuracy going forward.
