Checkers Selling Expired Chicken

I tried contacting Checkers directly, and received no response. They obviously don't feel rotting chicken on their shelves is worth a response but I thought maybe the readers of Hello Peter would like to know anyway. On Sunday morning, 10th April, I was shopping at Checkers Willowbridge and purchased a pack of Elgin Chicken Fillets. The SB Date was the 9th and the BB Date was the 10th. On the drive home, I immediately noticed a horrid smell. Anyone who has smelt rotten chicken would know exactly what stench I am referring to. Upon closer inspection, I discovered the chicken breasts to be the culprit. <br> <br> I took the pack back to Checkers, who weren't exactly keen to assist. There was no Store Manager on duty and eventually, a Sales Manager was called. All he could do was argue about the dates. The SB Date was the day before? Then why was it on your shelves? The BB Date was the 10th- had I eaten that chicken on the 10th, I can assure you I would have been incredibly ill. He could only suggest we come back and chat to a Store Manager the next day. No ways was I taking that chicken home with me. I left the chicken with him and without refund. <br> <br> Terrible CS Checkers!!
