Checkers Rondebosch Cape Town: A Covid-19 Breeding Ground

I usually go to this store as it's spacious and stocks the brand's I use. Firstly, the store is undergoing renovations and stock has been moved to accommodate the reduced space. Which I completely understand. However all the staff on the shop floor were wearing their masks on their chins as well as pushing their perspex visors back thereby exposing their nose and mouth. Now I needed to approach staff for help with finding where the stock had been relocated, most annoying as I was reluctant to be anywhere near them. I paid for my groceries at a till manned by a woman who had completely discarded her PPE. I reported my disatisfaction to the store supervisor, while a staff member hovered close by fiddling with a scanner, again without PPE. I asked her to please stand back, and she completely ignored me. The supervisor's response to my suggestion that staff may need training in social distancing procedures, to which she rep****, "They all already know about health and safety Covid-19 procedures." And then she walked away, leaving me in the midst of a bunch of idle store personnel. I find this to be completely unacceptable and threatening to my well-being. Therefore I'm not going to patronise this particular store and it's related disregard for their and the customer's safety.
