Checkers repeatedly overcharging customers !

I've just experienced the latest in several incidents of overcharging by Checkers today. My experiences cover both the main Seapoint (Cape Town) branch and the Hout Bay branch, but today it was Hout Bay. I noticed on my till receipt one price that seemed quite a long way off what I had seen on the shelf when choosing the product. What I was actually charged when paying was 50% more than the shelf price ! That made me look more closely at the receipt - and then I found 2 more items which were overcharged at the till.

The last time I had this issue in the Hout Bay store was a few weeks ago - 5 items were overcharged at the till, compared to the shelf price. What concerns me is that not everyone has the time to check their till receipts - especially if there is a long queue of impatient shoppers behind you. So the majority of shoppers walk out of the shop without looking at the receipt, leaving Checkers free to overcharge. How many people are being ********** ? It's scandalous and whilst there are some good aspects to Checkers, I am at the point of giving up shopping there - as I do not want to be charged more than what is advertised on the shelf.

Shoppers make the decision to buy based on the product - and the price. A shop can not charge a completely different price when the shopper pays. The fact that incidents are brought to management's attention doesn't seem to be making any difference. I would like an apology please.
