Checkers ready made meals caused food poisoning

On Wednesday, 9 September 2020 at 11:47 I bought 4 ham and cheese pockets and 2 cheezo's at Checkers Centurion Lifestyle Center.

Myself and my son shared the food - each having 2 pockets and a cheezo around 13:00 on the same day.

At around 14:00 I started to have the worst stomach pain I have ever experienced. I was unable to walk normally and kept on feeling worse and worse as the minutes passed.

At 20:00 on Wednesday evening my husband took me to the local medical clinic where I was treated for food poisoning by the after hours doctor.

I was booked off for 2 days (Thursday and Friday).

My biggest frustration is that I had to pay R1019,99 for the doctor's visit and medication and take 2 days sick leave.

I contacted the Checkers mentioned above on Thursday morning and spoke to the Store Manager, Johan. He requested that I send him an email which I did but have not heard anything from him regarding my complaint. 4 days have lapsed and I need to have this matter addressed.
