Checkers- Pathetic service and stupid payment rule for wine

I went to buy a few groceries and wine on a Saturday morning at Checkers New Salt Rock City.

After standing in the que at the till for a while as only 3 tills were open they told me I cant pay for the wine at this till and had to go back to the wine area and pay there.

So that means I had to go back to the back corner of the store and pay again.

Why Checkers? Why cant we pay for wine like we have always done at the normal till points? Why didnt the lady by the wine area tell me I cant leave that area and pay for the wine in the front till points?

I then asked to speak to the manager,but he is as useless as they come. No wonder the service in this Checkers store is non existing.

2 weeks ago we bought Chicken mayo sandwiches and they were off/rotten.

Then I left the wine there to go to the liquor shop just next door. 4 people packing out wine by the wine area but not 1 will make way do that I can buy wine.

Really pathetic. Will ensure this spreads far and wide and that any family and friends dont support this Checkers when they come to Ballito for holidays.
