Checkers Oceans Mall exploitation

I am writing this review with deep frustration and disappointment regarding the treatment of my child, who was employed by Checkers at Oceans Mall under a clear contract outlining working days, hours, and payday. What followed was nothing short of exploitation.

Despite the contract terms, my child was forced to work overtime that was never agreed upon. Come payday, no payment was made. When I attempted to seek clarity, Regional Manager Mr. Abdul had the audacity to casually state that payment would only be on the 12th which is a week later – with no apology, a very long explanation that has nothing to do with the contract my child was employed under, and no regard for the inconvenience and financial strain this causes.

Worse still, when I asked for a proper explanation as to why the contract was being ignored, Mr. Abdul arrogantly declared that I am “not entitled” to speak to him, despite the fact that no one from Checkers has bothered to explain anything to my son either. He then hung up the phone with an appalling amount of attitude.

This is not just poor service – it is ********* labor practice. Checkers Oceans Mall has shown a complete disregard for contractual agreements, youth employment rights, and basic human respect. No young worker deserves to be exploited, dismissed, or disrespected – especially by a company that claims to uphold standards.

I am posting this to warn other parents and job seekers: Think twice before trusting Checkers Oceans Mall with your time, your labor, or your children. We will be escalating this matter further.

The right authorities should intervene because it appears that young employees are being bul**** and exploited with no cer*****y whether they will get there hard earned money without begging for it because management did not see anything wrong with not processing payment.

I was able to stand up for my son how many employees are suffering because they scared to stand up for themselves Justice needs to be served.
