Checkers Money Market

2018-01-20: Went to Checkers Burgundy Estate (De Grendel) Cape Town today, to buy a few items and get some cash. As I walk out the shop, I realise that I forgot the cash. I went to the Money Mark to get the cash and was told (again) that they cannot give to the cash. I had the manager (Mr Lamoer) called and he told me that I must either buy something at the Money Mark (even if only R2 airtime) to get cash from the Money Market or go to a cashier. The cashiers were all busy and I was in a hurry (on my way to work), I could not go stand in a queue again. The girl at the Money Mark pretend to help me and then show me that my card was denied. I knew there were money on the card, so it could not be that. Luckily the girl at the cigarette counter was free at that moment and I could get money there. Here is what I do not understand, when I speak to Chechers/Shoprite "headoffice" they will tell me that I can draw (only) money at any Checkers, Shoprite or Checkers Hypermarket Money Market, but when I go to Burgundy Estate Checkers I always have a hassle. I written a number of complaints about this on their facebook page, I will get a call from a regional / head office manager, (sometimes the manager of Burgundy Estate Checkers, who tell me that the the problem was sorted, only to find that the next time I try, I get the same problem. This Checkers opened a few years ago and in the beginning there was not hassle drawing money (with out buying anything) at the Money Market. I can draw money at the Checkers Hypermarket at N1 City (closest to me) with no problem. The staff walks around as if you as the customer have personally offended them by trying to do business with their shop. They mumble and get upset when you have to ask them to repeat themselves because you could not hear or understand the mumbling. I work as a receptionist and know how difficult people can be and therefor I ALWAYS do my atmost best to be as friendly as possible with cashiers and shop assistance. It happened today again, not one of the four people who I came into contact with gave me a proper hello (never mind smile at me).
