Checkers management ***********? Staff perform poorly over a long period of time

The staff at the Whalecoast Mall Checkers store in Sandbaai have proven themselves over a long period of time to be poorly trained and ***********. Packers will regularly place fragile items like eggs, tomatoes and bread at the bottom of a bag and pack harder items on top of these. Today was no exception. They can't even get labelling of items correct. I got to the till with mince pies today and the item couldn't be scanned as it wasn't labelled. I got home with my shopping today to find I had been charged the exhorbitant cost of loose red peppers for a sweet potato! To add insult to injury, the sweet potato is labelled "Sell by 01 Jan", but that's my bad for not checking the sticker on the product. However, why is this item still on the shelf 5 DAYS LATER? A call to the store and the management this afternoon has yielded no result. A call to the national "customer care" number yielded the standard "this is not the standard of service we aim for" response. Not holding my breath as to whether the promised response from the regional manager materialises.
