Checkers Little Falls again

I frequent the Checkers in Little Falls (Cascades Shopping Centre) frequently as it's just down the road from me. I've spent a lot of money there over the years.

I have lodged complaints before as have many other people in the area and then they quickly send in senior management to rectify. However, a month later, as soon as the senior manager leaves, it goes back to offering a terrible service.

1. No matter what time you go there during the day, the isles are always jammed full of cleaners and packers with huge trolleys that you either have to squeeze past or you can't get down the isle at all. Cant they do the cleaning and packing before opening or at night when it's quiet.

2. Running out of stock constantly - I can give so many examples but most of the time (even though there are constant packers!), they have run out of stock of various items. So you have to go to another store. Don't they keep an inventory and restock regularly?

3. Usually there are at most two tellers open and no one at the cigarette counter at all. Even in very busy times, you have to queue and block traffic. The rest of the staff are hanging around or sitting outside in the sun. When you do get to the tills, the staff are so unpleasant and rude. No smiles or greetings at all. Even Trevor Noah joked about Checkers tellers who simply bark "Plastic" at you. 99 percent of the time you also have to pack your own bags which I don't mind doing but then it should be made standard that you do your own packing and the prices can go down because Checkers needs to employ less staff. Staff are often riddled with the flu and then touch all your groceries. Can they not be supp**** with hand santizers?

If you take the service and staff at the Spar in Retail Crossing - spotlessly clean, pleasant and welcoming staff that you become friends with, always have fresh stock etc. etc.

4. Expired food - So many times I have bought mouldy cheese in a packet, expired yoghurt and just this morning - old and stale cheese rolls with the packet broken open.

5. They now have a pancake bar and coffee bar but no one orders from there. Why? Because the standard of hygiene at the pancake bar is disgusting and there is never anyone to serve at the coffee bar. If you do try to find someone to serve, you get only rudeness back. The Spar does a roaring trade on pancakes because it's again - spotlessly clean and two very friendly ladies prepare your pancakes.

6. The bakery is ********** and I was delighted to see that they are now bringing in baked goods from an outside source - however - once again - over priced and expired stock - if stock at all. Last week I stood for five minutes waiting for someone to give me rolls which she did with the very same gloves she was using to wipe counter tops with! Needless to say - I left the rolls.

Perhaps Checkers can ONCE AGAIN send in senior management to sort out the store but then do regular checks to make sure it stays up to standard.
