checkers lifestyle does not honor product warrenty

i bought a phillips iron nearly 2 years ago. The box of the iron state 2 year warranty.

i am within my 2 years. Checkers lifestyle does not want to honor the warranty. they claim even that the box state 2 years, checkers only give 1 year. this is not right.
