Checkers Kloof Street Cape Town

Almost every morning I go to Checkers Kloof street. Every time I'm there it's like the staff is forced to come to work. No warmth towards customers at all. Many times, if not all the time I'm at the cashier, they don't ask if I have the checkers savings card, cause sometimes I take items knowing I get a discount for them if I swipe the card. They don't even pack the items for you. Numerous times to different cashiers I've asked if they don't pack for their customers, or is it just me that they don't pack for.

I've had more than one encounter with one cashier named Eileen or something like that, she literally looks at you and says nothing, now you are to think as a customer that you must swipe your card or whatever and I even passed on a comment to her that "You are not saying anything, as if you don't want to be at work". Today was my last straw, with a different cashier, I came to counter 2, I greeted, no greeting back, she scans my items, doesn't ask for my savings card, I didn't bother, cause I did not have anything that needed a discount. I had my own bag, so I put it on top of the counter for her to clearly see. She didn't even ask me if I wanted a bag, which I didn't mind, cause I had my own bag today. She scans, finishes, and puts the items next to the bag, she finishes and gives me my slips. So I asked her "don't you guys pack for your customers?"...she said "yes we do" So I asked her why she doesn't pack for me. Her response was "yoor, I forgot" which is utter nonsense.

Everyday I spend my money at checkers, I even buy my savings stamps from there on the regular, with the stamps book that I got after 3 months. Since January I have been asking for this book, and every time I come (EVERYDAY), they do not have it, which is such a joke. I only got the book last week or so. The way the staff is there is appalling, dreadful and all words in the same context!!!! It's a pity they are the only super market that is close to where I work, otherwise I would stop going there all together. Really disappointing that such a huge establishment as checkers has such *********** staff, that does not know the meaning of service. If I could give 0 star, I would. They do not deserve even the one star
