Checkers is really winning the grocery war.

I was a Pick ‘n Pay shopper for most of my life, my son even worked in one during this gap year. Then Checkers did two things - they introduced Checkers 60 and they revamped their stores. Now I can’t even tell you when the last time was that I set foot inside a Pick n Pay store - maybe during Covid.

I like the fact that you get savings instantly with your card and you take the Xtra Savings plus which costs you R100 you get 10% off your first monthly purchase in store up to R2000. So if you’re doing month end shopping and spend R2000 or more you get R200 off ! So effectively Checkers are paying you R100 a month ! And you then get all the specials and free delivery on the app.

I notice the delivery drivers lately all have new jackets and wrappings around their boxes - looks good, keeping it fresh.
