Checkers is practicing "Misleading Advertising"

Yesterday, 08.05.2016, I went through to Checkers at Glenvista. I wanted to get a few things they had on their special valid from 25.04.16 - 08.05.16. I was very disappointed by their bakery department who offered me a pathetic-looking Focaccia bread, which is nothing like what is advertised in their specials under "Breads of the World" "Varsgbakte Focaccia Elk @ R9.99. The one depicted in the picture on the specials sheet clearly shows red, green and yellow bell peppers. When I asked to purchase that, (1 wanted 4 of them actually); I was told that the special refers to the pathetic and much smaller Focaccia covered in only green pepper. Although I did show the lady attending to me the picture from their specials exactly what I meant, she and the 'Baker' insisted it was that smaller and pathetic lookin green pepper covered excuse of a Focaccia bread.

I was irate and very disgusted and so just left it. I did tell the server that if they cannot supply me with what's advertised, then I am not interested. Although they did have the correct item there; it was marked @ R11.99??? This is why I say Checkers & Checkers Hypers are practising "Misleading Advertising". I have this morning even tried numerous times to call their Checkline Customer Service line on ***to no avail; as the call get's answered; only to be cut off without anyone ever speaking to you. There is a short IVR message with an Advert, then you are promptly cut off with the engaged tone being played in your ear.

Q: What kind of *** customer servise is this? A: Probably some of the worst in South Africa; if not the very worst!!!

To Checkers & Checkers Hyper: You must seriously pull your act together. I will be telling all of my friends about this, posting it to Social Media sites and I may even write a letter to the Advertising Standards Bureau of South Africa and Consumer Protection.

YOU SUCK!!!!
