Checkers in Brooklyn staff is rude and unprofessional

Good day, I went this morning to buy a sandwich unfortunately it was not fresh. The tomatoes had mould and the chicken was black. i took it back to them .The attitude that the controller gave me was too much,she did not even apologise for putting expired food on the shelves .she asked me if i need money back then i said no i will take the ****ins but she just gave me my money I felt so small when i leave the store??
