Checkers Hyper WASTING food that could be marked down or given to staff.

I am DISGUSTED, Checkers no longer marks down the expired food, I was told by staff that they are now throwing it away. With so many People living below the poverty line, this is unacceptable. Shame on you Checkers, the poor rely on the marked down food and WASTING food in a country where there are people starving is unacceptable. The manager tried to tell me that some of this expired food goes to charity, but it was only being removed from the shelves after 5pm and is vrot by the morning, so this isn't true. (And it isn't even given to the staff.) I am DISGUSTED, I thought Checkers had a social conscience????
