Checkers Hyper - NO NO NO

I walked into the Checkers Hyper store at Eastgate yesterday. Did some shopping and as I proceeded to walk out, the security check at the entrance/exit buzzed as I walked out. I was immediately harrassed by a security guard who rushed to my shopping cart and began opening the 2 shopping bags that I had. I was flabbergasted, firstly by the fact that there was a noise made and secondly by the attitude of the security guard. I resisted with people gawking from all sides, many of who, I assume branded me as a *****. I asked the security guard to call the store manager. She radioed her security manager and 5 minutes later no one pitched up. I refused for the security guard to continue searching until the store manager was present and at this point my anger and frustration was at breaking point. I made my way to the Customer Service desk to ask for a manager and was shown where he was, busy helping packing a shelf. I approached him with my issue, and this was simply why did his cashier not do her job as she was supposed to? There was an item in my shopping bag that had a security tag that was not cleared when she scanned it and this caused all the issue. As for the security agent, they need to be trained to handle this in a more decent manner. Don't just dive into someones shopping cart and look for God knows what because at that point she had no idea what she was looking for. Based on this experience, I am not comfortable walking into this store. I only hope that the next "victim" is treated in a more decent manner and not made out to be the *****.
