Checkers Hyper Money Market Theft

On 02 June 2023 my mom (Jabulile Ntshani) went to Checkers Hyper located at Sunward Park in Boksburg to deposit money, through their money market system. She then got home and sent my brother the relevant details so that he could withdraw the money on his side (Limpopo). The day my brother decided to withdraw the money on his side he couldn't, because according to the teller the money had already been withdrawn.

With this information my mom then went back to Checkers Hyper and they told her that the money was withdrawn in town at Bree street in Johannesburg. This came as a shock to her, because the person who was suppose to receive the money stays in Limpopo.

So far everything is pointing towards the teller who served my mom at Checkers Hyper in Sunward park. She clearly looked at my mom and saw an opportunity to ***** money from an old black women, thinking that she wasn't going to take any action. I honestly hope that it's system error and that the teller isn't involved in this whole mess, but if she is, it will be sad to know that Checkers hires employees who ***** from their customers.

My mom and I have being shopping at Checkers Hyper in Sunward Park for over 5 years, if I'm not mistaken and it's been a lovely experience until this money market incident that recently happened. My trust in Checkers is broken. I'm just wondering how this could happened at such a big company. I'm also wondering if my mom is the only person this has happened too.

Currently the matter is with the police and I'm hoping that they find the culprit that stole my moms money, but other than that I'm just really disappointed in Checkers Hyper.
