Checkers Hyper Menlyn Poor Management.

I intended to buy some wine at Checkers Hyper Menlyn on 15 June. I was fully aware that we won't be allowed to purchase any liquor on 16 June. That is why I put a few bottles of red wine in my trolley at 16:35. I strolled and bought a few other items as well. I must stress that nobody blocked me or told me that I am not allowed to buy wine at 16:35. I stood in a long queue to pay. When I arrived at the till at 17:10 I was told that I cannot pay for my wine. I called the Perishables Manager called Francois Cilliers and explained to him that I took the wine long before 17:00 but had to wait in a long line. He refused to listen to my explanation. I then spoke to the Manager called Charles Mxolisi and he also refused me to purchase my wine. I told them that I now get penalized for still shopping in their store after I got my wine at 16:40. They flatly refused me to buy my wine. I told them that it is POOR MANAGEMENT. They should have closed the wine department at 16:30 if they don't want clients to buy other groceries as well. They should close the wine department at 17:00 but allow any customers that picked wine before 17:00 to pay for their purchase. This is just poor management. Get it right and look after your loyal customers.
