CHECKERS HYPER - FOURWAYS EXPIRED PRODUCTS ON SHELF

On 13 September 2019 I bought an expired Vitamin Water - Spark (BB 11 SEP 19) from Checkers Hyper Fourways. I leave in Noordwyk and when I got home I discovered that this product had expired 2 days ago. Surely, a supermarket like Checkers must have systems to check for such things like this for example use of Lot system at the point sale. I do not stay close to any Checkers if I was to return the product. Driving to a closest Checkers would have costed me more than how much I paid for this water (R16.99). I was imagining if I had not checked for the expiry date and fallen sick or died, my family would be suffering now. Checkers must be careful with peoples lives. We only live once. I have the receipt - S007311, GAU/101499C not so sure if these numbers will be picked up by their system. For the rest of South Africa, I urge people to please check expiry dates on all food items you buy from Checkers. You never know what might get you sick or end up dead. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
