Checkers

On Friday 10 February 2023 I left 2 cell phones on the counter after I paid for my groceries, at Checkers Bartlett. When I went back into the shop, they were both gone. I asked to see the security footage, to which they rep**** that I can't but they will look and tell me. I was advised that I left with the phones in my hand. I left the shop again, and when I went back the 2nd time, I was told that I put the phones in the trolley (2 different stories). The staff told me to open a police case, which I did, but still they refused me to look at the footage. Apparently only the investigating officer was allowed to see the footage. Needless to say, he "couldn't see anything". Checkers definitely doesn't look after their customers and I will never buy groceries at any of their stores again. I only go there if there's an item that I battle to find at any of the other suppliers like Pick & Pay or Spar.
