Checkers enable Giftcard ***** in their stores

I received a giftcard in December and only used it the next day for a purchase for part of the full value. When I tried to use it again later in the month, I was told that the balance was zero. After much insistence with Checkers, I finally obtained the transaction list and it is evident that there was ***** from within the store as before I even had the card in my possession, there was already activity on the card at the store where it was purchased, probably the process of cloning my card. Checkers have not made any attempt to investigate internally and are now ignoring my emails with no responses whatsoever. The lack of response or effort to resolve this matter suggests that Checkers prefers to enable and condone ***** from within their stores and allow theft from their customers.
