Checkers Double deducted my account and won’t pay back

I am extremely disappointed in the service I received from Checkers Richards Bay. I went to buy groceries on the 31st of August. When I swapped my card to pay I was advised to try again as it didn’t go through, I swapped again.. they deducted twice which amounted to R5000. Still they said they didn’t get the money yet the notification on my phone says it has been deducted. Left the shop with no groceries and R5000 less in my account. I called my bank and they can see the deduction by Checkers yet checkers can’t. I am caught up in the middle without any solid response or way forward from checkers.
