Here was a large Ocean View resident sobbing out of control with a 2 year old boy sitting on the floor at her feet. I asked the Manageress behind the counter what was the problem and they pointed at a entire book of saving stamps burnt all around the edges. It appeared fire started at the shack next to hers last night that continued to burn her shack completely. She lost absolutely EVERYTHING. The manageress said the stamps would not scan and there as nothing that could be done. The girls behind the counter said this lady came in every month and bought her savings stamp.<br> It was time to \phone a friend"! I managed to get the direct number for a senior Checkers manager who took my call and listened to my story. I asked if he could use his given discretion to help this person... <br> By the time I had finished my shopping the lady was smiling and thanks me. She was FULLY re-imbursed for her loss by Checkers.<br> Well done... Maybe there are some who can donate some clothes or otherwise.<br> """
