Checkers DIS-loyalty programme - promises and lies
So, Checkers late to market loyalty programme is proving 'late' in the deceased sense, too. Just out the gate and their offerings are not ironed out nor clearly stipulated and certainly there is a huge chasm between promise and delivery. One expecst some teething problems with any new service and I experienced my fair shre of those when the system refused to accept my phone number insisting there is/was a card already registered to that number. Managers were unable to hel and the Customer Service staff - specifically trained on the Xtra Savings progamme just told me this means I do not qualify and cannot use the system. After several discussions with various staff at several branches I fiunally found a Management team that were also stumped but eventually a staff member pointed out they shoudl remove the records linked to teh number and then allocate a card to me. This resolved THAT issue. As I said - one expects teething problems. HOWEVER coming up to my Birthday and afriend's Birthday we started asking about the promised 'Birthday' rewards ... only to be met with blank faces and will guesses and nothing concrete. My friend's Birthday came and went. Still no sms as had been suggested by one Manager. My Birthday, too, came and went and I actually checked instore on my actual Birthday - NOTHING. I resported to Messaging on Facebook too - I got a vague response promising to reply. I submitted both our phone numbers. NOTHING. Yesterday I followed up on that message pointing out that it had been days and both Birthdays had coem and gone. Rote answer. So sorry - we'll get back to you. N O T H I N G !!! SURELY when an enormous retail business creates a loyalty plan they THINK IT THROUGH and have actual processes and procedures outlined. Checkers is simply making false promises to lure people to get their info so they can predict better for stock and punt adverts - THIS IS NOT ON.
