CHECKERS : CORNUBIA : WEAK MANAGEMENT THAT CANT TAKE DECISIONS : POOR AND UNSATISFACTORY SERVICE .

I bought an OTTIMO ketel at this store approx 6 months ago . Being a plastic ketel the lid came apart . As the ketel was within the 1 year guarantee , i needed to present a receipt , which was mislaid . I emphasised that OTTIMO is a CHECKERS brand and that they needed to help the customer to either repair the kettle or exchange it . The Manager , whilst sympathetic was NOT prepared to assist , indicating the BRANCH manager will come tomorrow ( 2022/12/28 ) and that I must consult with him . Its hard to imagine that at branch level, a MANAGER thats worth his salt , cant take a decision on an item costing under R200. UNBELIEVABLE but it happens at CHECKERS . A large majority of Clients at this store reside in government housing in the township of Phoenix . Its great to receive patronage from these clients all year round , but when it comes to exchanging an item that costs under R200 , then u are on your own - " GO GET LOST " CHECKERS - you can do far better than this . PLEASE WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE.
