Checkers chicken gave us Salmonella

We always shop at the Checkers in Stellenbosch but last week we bought our usual large packs of chicken breasts and all the chicken breasts seemed quite slimy and wet even on the outside of the packets. We needed them so bought them but they took extra long to cook and after my partner ate some he fell ill. He went to the doctor and he said he’s sick with Salmonella. We have had to throw out 3kg of checkers chicken breasts. Our friend bought that same day and said his chicken tasted funny and he also had to throw it out.
