CHECKERS CHARTWELL CORNER

Checkers chartwell corner - their bakery staff are just not as good or as helpful as the rest of the staff - their deli and their fish and chip sections again the staff there really not interested or helpful, If you buy a big loaf of pot bread or boere bread they don't have packets that fit - the staff are so slow and have been that way for months. Their in house bread is usually behind the counter and difficult to get to and staff not helpful here either. The deli chicken looks like an over cooked dried up piece of whatever and when you ask for cooked chips at deli or fish place the chips are cold - the only way they can heat them is put in microwave ????? seriously microwaved cooked chips when you are trying to buy someone lunch - rather don't offer the chips - broadacres spar runs rings around this deli serving cooked mealie pap and loads of food suitable for all the customers. It's a horse area at spar you get big bags of carrots we have asked and asked at checkers but they have lost that newly opened enthusiasm. At a recent celebration that had food from ou pastorie and they assured us they would be stocking their pate etc - i spoke to the manager Patrick myself - this has never happened - there are a lot of good things at this store just a pity the deli and bakery such a let down.
