Checkers cashier GRABBED my phone out of my hands

Hi,

I would like to report an incident that happened at Checkers Cornubia. I was at the till point getting a new XTRA Savings Card and the cashier tells me to activate it so that I could use it for my purchases. However, the card was invalid and hence, I could not validate the card. THE CASHIER THEN YANKS MY PHONE OUT OF MY HAND and attempts the validation herself as if I did not do it right! The blatent disregard and disrespect that the cashier displayed had me shocked! I could not belief she grabbed my phone out of hands without asking me! She then runs into the same problem while using my phone, without me permission, and stares at my phone instead of handing it back! I peered over her, saw this and took my phone back as quick as I could. The cashier's name (according to the till slip) is Anathi Mncwabe . I would like to report the incident not only as poor conduct but attempted theft. I am disgusted by the conduct witnessed at the store today. How can a cashier just take someone's phone from them without asking if they may? This should not be allowed by anyone let alone someone carrying out a service to you! I hope an enquiry is undertaken to assess the cashier's behavior and as far as I'm concerned, she should be laid off. This is absolutely unacceptable and I felt extremely violated and unsafe not only as a customer but as a member of the general public.

As a disclosure, I do not hold the manager of the store accountable. I was unable to speak to the store manager and report the incident because I felt very unsafe and disgusted especially since the lady packing at the same till kept staring at me.

Please address this matter. I understand it is the Christmas period but the conduct of the cashier surpasses anything I ever expected to happen to me as a customer.
