Checkers Canal Walk, great store, pathetic service!

Checkers at Canal Walk in Cape Town was revamped late 2019 and I was and in fact still am impressed with the store with one exception. The in store tellers and packers are disgraceful. And I am generalising because I have received some good service but it is very few and far between. I shop predominantly at Woolies but I would change to Checkers Canal walk if they did something about their staff. The tellers are surly, inconsiderate, unprofessional, irresponsible and in some instances disgusting (picking your nose while at your workstation) yuck! How about training these people, give them something to be proud of, show them how to pack a grocery bag at the very least. Come on Checkers. Pick up on the finer details. You can do it!! Or perhaps we should really move toward the self-service system and see how the unemployed queue grows.
