Checkers Blubird is apparently not part of Checkers

Checkers is my go to shop for literally everything incl booze - today I shopped @ the Checkers @ Blubird close to my work - I visit this shop too during the week and then the Hyper on weekends - I had bought a rechargeable light at Eastgate 2 weeks ago - and have had huge opportunity to test its claim of 6 hrs and more light after solar fo charging of 24hrs - sadly the light didn't even last 2 hrs before dying - today I go to get a credit so that I can buy something else only to be told by the manager and another staff member that sorry but no, checkers will not honour a checkers hyper refund. Sorry? What?? Is it not 1 and the same store? Or is it that the staff just could not be bothered with service??? Very disappointed because we are experiencing rolling blackouts and now I am without a working light until Saturday when I can get to hyper Eastgate. Lousy service Checkers BluBird!!!!!
