Checkers Baywest Mall and their negligence

Trusting Checkers Baywest Mall with all our shopping every month as they are a one stop shop. They have made a big mistake. We bought Texan Beef steaks from their butchery department under the beef section. Just to find out that it was PORK!! We braaid at my sister in laws house on Saturday where her husband is jewish. They can not eat pork at all. Braaing our meat first on their grid and them after was a disrespectful act from our side as we know very well that we can not braai certain kinds of meat by them. Luckily we could show them the packaging and clear up the misunderstanding. This was so embarrassing to us. We had to get rid of all that meat that we had there because of one mistake. Trusted one of South Africa's biggest retail outlets with our meat. Just to find out that they are not as careful as they should be. This means that they are definitely cross contaminating meat in their butchery to be able to make a mistake like that. I am disgusted and this was disgraceful to me as a customer. People check your meat very carefully when shopping at Checkers Baywest mall or you might sit with big issues. Just to think if this maybe had to be a family where somebody is allergic to Pork meat how would checkers have compensated for a loss in that family.
