Checkers at The Walk Shopping Centre in Langenhovenpark, Bloemfontein

I am one of the owners living directly behind Checkers @The Walk Shopping Centre. As a result, I am continuously exposed to Checkers workers (grown adults) who sit directly behind my wall to have lunch during their lunch break hour starting from anywhere between 11:00 in the morning to 17:00 in the afternoon.

During this time, the workers take it upon themselves to speak, laugh or even shout at the top of their lungs the entire time while conversing in groups. The entire area is extremely quiet, which means that any ounce of noise made behind my house comes directly into our home. As a result, it sounds as if the workers are directly within my house making a huge racket on a daily basis. Now, I have absolutely no problem with them sitting behind the property but for them to act in an ill mannered way is highly inappropriate and extremely unacceptable. It is so easy to be considerate of the people around you and as such, simply use your inside voice, especially since you are talking to someone who is sitting right next to you or in front of you.

I have reported the issue to the managers at Checkers here at the Walk Centre in Langenhovenpark, Bloemfontein. The managers seem to have brought it to their workers attention to not make a noise when taking their lunch break but it has not proven useful as the same saga continues every-single-day! I believe that it is the role and responsibility of management to hold their workers accountable for the actions during their working hours and not merely state that they have spoken to them without any consequences.

I have honestly gotten to a point where I do not feel at ease within my own home as I have to listen to the racket that the Checkers workers make on a daily basis. It is my hope that this issue can be resolved.
