Checkers

We regularly buy Stock Butter from Checkers at Irene Link and, admittedly, we don’t always check the expiration date. Unfortunately, the one we purchased today had already expired—in March 2025.

When I returned it, the staff processed a refund immediately, but what shocked me was the complete lack of concern. No one rushed to check the shelves for other expired products, nor did they show any empathy or interest in whether this might have affected other customers who may already be consuming it.

I left feeling disappointed and honestly quite concerned. Going forward, I’ll be double-checking every single item I buy—but it’s unsettling that this level of vigilance is necessary at all.

Checkers needs to take food safety and customer well-being more seriously.
